My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at Jim's place. Wow! We loved this airbnb. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Portland. Check in was super easy with a keypad. There was street parking close by. It was located in a neighborhood close to downtown Portland. It was walking distance to many great cafes, restaurants, bars, and a big grocery store. To get downtown it is a quick 10min drive, or you could take public transportation. We walked many places from the airbnb. The airbnb itself was super clean. We felt like we wanted to live in this apartment! There was a living room area, a separate dining area, and a very well stocked kitchen. The bathroom was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. It was always very quiet. The hosts were very friendly and offered great advice about Portland. We would definitely stay here when we return to Portland in the future!

Amazing and wonderful. all the expectations were easily met or surpassed. Not only was the rental immaculate but the neighborhood is gorgeous and a pleasant experience to explore. We enjoyed all the local dining as well as the convenience of being within walking distance of a multitude of entertaining options. all the little things were provided for and of course the blueberry muffins that were provided was a nice touch. we will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Jim and Robert for a wonderful Portland vacation.

Our expectations were exceeded by the kindness showed by Jim and Robert. We spent Christmas in "The Retreat" as we liked to call it, after full days of family visits and young grandchildren. Not only were there fresh muffins and orange juice, but cookies were delivered for the holidays. Communication was excellent and I especially appreciated being able to book an extra day due to an oversight on our flights. Don't hesitate because this is a basement abode. The lighting is great with dimmer switches and more natural light than you would imagine from the egress windows. The kitchen was well stocked with a superb knife set and beautiful plates and wine glasses. We did Thai takeout one night with our son and a friend and we all sat around the dining room table. A very homey experience and we'll be back!

What can I say.. this lovely spot was 100 steps from my daughters apartment. Steps from so many places to eat. The neighborhood is cute.. so many decorated homes for Christmas.. many nice touches I don’t always see at Airbnb’s. A nice note upon arrival, super easy access into the house, muffins, OJ, great coffees and nice lotions soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. Great Value, immediate responses and a lovely stay. Definitely coming back!

Jim, Robert, and Ian were easy to communicate with, and very accommodating! I was a little nervous about booking a basement as I’ve had experiences in the past where noise was an issue from the floor above. This was certainly not the case here! Not only was the space sparkling clean, stylish, and quiet, there were also personal touches everywhere; a personalized note, gourmet dark chocolate bar, homemade muffins, orange juice, and local tips! By far the BEST experience that I’ve had with Airbnb!

I have nothing but five stars for this place. It is more spacious than the photographs would lead you to believe. Plenty of closet space, too. We felt like we were home the minute we walked in. Terrific amenities. Clean. Easy walking distance to good restaurants and other attractions. Jim, Robert, and Ian were quick to respond to our queries.
